Designed for Milan Expo 2015, the Zonaterra by designer Kimming Yap is a series of resting areas that will refresh the visitors both physically as well as mentally while moving across the exhibition area. Working as an interactive platform, the installations provides visual information to the visitors and keep them orientated with the event. Using piezoelectric technology, the modules when pressed generate electric power, apart from serving as a form of chromotherapy by illuminating soft blue lights. The modules come in various heights and the organic structure allows visitors to rest in various self-defined positions. The modules can be organized in different configurations, strengthening the connections and social interaction between visitors from all across the world.
