ypsilon: Concept pen drive

ypsilon ZCfJQ 2263
You always wondered where the pen was in the pen drive. Still pondering then read on. A pen’s something that you’d normally always carry around. And the digital age has necessitated another little equipment that one regularly carries: a USB drive. So Andreas Malo Dyb from Italy thought of unifying the two and arrived at ypsilon. The normal button of a ball pen is replaced by a sviveling USB drive. Don’t get me wrong, I have seen such integration in actual products (most of whom seem to originate in China), but ypsilon is different because the USB drive is not a separate part of the body. The pen and drive are for once a pen drive for real. The designer insists that a combination reduces the chances of loosing either the pen or the drive; alternatively you may end up loosing both. ypsilon has a rear that’s rather large for an easy hold but it would be great to print a logo of some sorts. Chances are this is doomed to be a concept forever.
