Classic art and modern technology might not have much to share with each other, but the “Wooden Computer Workstation” by Marlies Romberg, a recent graduate of the Utrecht School of Arts, is a unique furniture unit that neatly combines technology with art. Bringing the real world closer to the digital world, the wooden workstation comes integrated with a laser cut computer and a wooden keyboard, together with a monitor and a wooden mouse. With her refreshing industrial art, Marlies has succeeded in her goal “to materialize the ungraspable fast digital world and create an opportunity for nostalgia in this future world.”
