Turkey has welcomed international architecture company RMJM with its $1 billion development project being designed by RMJM’s New York and Istanbul offices, to be located in Istanbul’s new financial and business district, Atasehir. This sustainable project is the first green development in Turkey and is quite hopeful to turn out as one of the greenest projects. Planned at a favorable site, this sumptuous 4 m sq development is custom-built by VARYAP, a Turkish real estate development company which is a branch of Varlibas Group International. The design is projected to serve up to 20,000 people and incorporates a 60-story tower, 1,500 residential units, landscaped public areas, a five star hotel, offices and conference facilities with parking facilities.

Further, this astonishing lavishly designed project sustains nature with its exclusive features including rainwater collection sites and water usage optimization facilities, wind turbine technology, cooling water pools to enhance external landscape and an electricity producing co-generation plant. The developmental go green project is also culturally rich with aesthetic feel of Istanbul’s climate and architectural heritage, reflected in spectral tiled veneer with a collection of terracotta to blue to white. This revolutionary project will come into action by 2011 directing Turkey to a green world.
