Searching keyhole to open the door lock in the dark often becomes difficult and takes some endeavor to finally get in the house. Catering to the problem, designer Ben Millett has come up with an innovative door handle called “Tri-Glow” that helps the night riders to find and use a door handle in the dark. The distinctive handle ensures that you don’t confused it with just another light source, such as a television stand-by light or a clock in the room. Powered by solar panels on the front face, so the whole device is contained in one unit and can just be installed on a regular door, the handle features three arms that can be used as an individual handle so the door can be approached from any angle. The star-like shape of the handle promotes the ease of use as it can be grabbed like a doorknob without letting the hand slip when turning.

An application of a glowing handle is suitable for hotels and other such big buildings where people may be unfamiliar with the layout of the building, in case of an emergency. The lighting on the handle improves visibility in dark and smoky situations and can be linked wirelessly to the fire alarm system so that the lights would flash when triggered. The glowing handle is also very applicable in a normal domestic situation. It also prevents disrupting your sleep by not having to turn on a main light to navigate though the door.
