Developed for an international architecture competition hosted by Arquitectum, the “Tokyo Mode” by Prop Studio is a fashion museum that gives the glimpse of progressive future while sticking to the common traditional values. Located in Tokyo’s Omotesando District, the structure provides an introspective environment where visitors can reflect on fashion as a guiding force, giving shape and expression to the humanity in the modern era. Divided into rotary levels, sitting one on top of the other in an undulating fashion, the building presents a thematic fashion collection, in each floor, from 1920s to the modern era. The Tokyo Mode also features a skybar in its open terrace giving a clear view of the fashion runway located underneath.
