In this day and age of ultra mobile living, it was a just a matter of time before somebody made a house to join their mobile devices. No we aren’t talking about a trailer home here, but a fully fledged drop house that is made predominantly of wood. Taking modularity to new heights, this home is basically one big box whose different rooms open out very similar to a drawer system. The Drop House prototype from French company DROP Architectes looks stunningly classy even though it is a very minimal design. And it is for this eclectic mix of classy style combined with minimalist lines that led the Drop House winning the Algeco Design Contest. Though details about a few important things like wiring and plumbing are absent at this moment, they can be sorted out. If everything goes as envisaged, we could very well see the entire concept of buying property being redundant in the future. Watch out for concepts like the Drop House, and talking about the Drop House, Kudos to DROP Architectes for coming up with such a stunningly simple yet effective concept. The Drop House can be made completely using recycled plastic which would make it one very eco-friendly concept too.
