An entry at a competition organized by the architecture faculty at the Universidade do Porto in Portugal, this is a structure made of 420 IKEA storage boxes that partly folds open one of its walls to transform into a temporary bar. Designed by Diogo Aguiar and Teresa Otto, the modular white cube attaches mixed size semi-translucent storage boxes onto a metal structure to form the facade with modular diversity. The structure makes use of LED lights, each box giving a different brightness, which responding to music played within illuminates to change its appearance dramatically at night.
