Increasing personal means of commutation has brought modern cities to a standstill, as commuters in urban areas spend hours in chaotic traffic jams each day. Addressing the issue, designer Erik Lanuza has come up with a compact urban transportation concept that other than allowing brisk commutation also helps in sustaining the urban environment. The “Taurus,” as the designer hails it, is a zero emission, open-top, saddle-ridden vehicle that moves on two wheels. Essentially an enhanced Segway with a saddle, the all-electric vehicle needs to be controlled by the body balance of the rider. You can control the speed by leaning forward or backward, while the steering wheel can be used to change the direction on curves, apart from your body balance. In short, the Taurus allows a safe, sustainable and stylish ride in urban environments.
