The year 2012 is going to be great year, that’s for sure. With a bagful of developments paving the way for innovation, the technology of tomorrow shall revolutionize the way we travel on our feet even. It may sound pretty amusing, but it's pretty true.

Proving our worth in the 21st century, life has been made easier as and how we progress further. Bringing forth the concept of personalized, motorized skates, designer Peter Treadway stands tall when it comes to introducing the SpnKiX. Hailing from California, Peter decided to lend a pair of wheels to the human feet, making commuting all the more convenient and plausible.
SpnKiX can broadly be categorized as a set of battery powered, motorized skates which once strapped onto your shoes, provide a mechanical support to your feet. While there is a dedicated skate for each foot, the motor and battery are what make up the skates. Zoom away on this gadget designed out of reinforced nylon fiber.
The skates come equipped with a remote which can be strapped onto your arm. Once strapped on, it controls both the skates wirelessly. The best part of this amazing gadget is that it comes equipped with a pair of training wheels which can be removed once you’re rearing to go like a pro.
Zip zam zoom on these skates measuring 9.5” long, 9” wide and 10.5” high. Catering to the age group of 16 years and above, SpnKiX would end up being everyone's real time fantasy.
The designer is still awaiting funds for the production of his futuristic gadget. Once he is able to amass enough dough, he expects to launch the production in a full fledged manner by February 2012 while the end product shall be available by March, hopefully.
The skates just provide a small glimpse into what the future would look like. With this product, peeking into the future surely looks quite bright.
