We have seen a number of vertical gardens in the past, but now it’s time to go through the four sided “Vertical Cube Garden” installed by Paisajismo Urbano on top of a shopping center in Getafe, Spain to soften and cool their refrigeration unit. Claimed to be the first of its kind, the vertical cube garden needs to have four different walls, each with different sun arcs throughout the day, covered with the suitable vegetation, while a smart irrigation system ensures automatic watering and fertilization to keep the garden fresh and alive. Planting 2,500 plants, ranging from herbs to ferns to perennials, in 128 square meters of wall space, the cube can produce adequate oxygen for 128 people throughout the year.
