Commissioned by the XDESIGN Environmental Health Clinic, Brooklyn-based Token Studio has come up with an augmented light fixture developed to spread specific educational and environmental values. The “GreenLight,” as they hail the product, is essentially a sustainable lighting cum flowerpot that other than improving indoor air quality also helps the user change his or her relationship with energy systems. Made in hand-blown glass, the light fixture also includes solar panels, LEDs and plants to diffuse light by blending with the photosynthetic process.
