We have witnessed some of the majestic floating structure designs in the past, which not only promise an altogether different podium for the designers and architectures to let loose their skills but also offer alternate housing floating on the water. Adding to the list, Polish architectural firm Formodesign has come up with a house on the water that is capable of fulfilling the water and energy requirements on its own. Accommodating a single family, the house on the water is designed to resist the harsh water conditions, while supporting water desalination, water recycling and natural ventilation methods. The house makes use of tidal and solar energy for its routine power supplies and energy consumption.
