In the recent past we have faced some of the most worst natural catastrophes, caused by drastic changes in climate, and witnessed the wild furies of nature. Though, it’s almost impossible to take on the wrath of nature, but we surely can minimize the losses and make life easier in trying conditions. Here is a concept called ‘Sanctuary’ that promises to offer an instant refuge to victims of natural calamities. Finished with DuPont Tyvek that makes it lightweight (10-15kg), moisture repelling, water, tear and chemical resistant, the compact shelter is extremely flexible, offering immediate protection to victims without wasting any time. The Sanctuary also includes first aid kit, blanket, towel and temporary sandals (made of biodegradable potato starch). The shelter features a double layer of Tyvek that increase its durability and insulation qualities for change in temperature. Moreover, it comes reinforced with a biodegradable water-repellent coating, which makes the shelter highly recyclable and environment-friendly.
