An entry at 2009 IDA design competition, the Piccells by designer Igor Lobanov is an inflatable furniture unit that drawing inspiration from different aspects/objects of nature reflects morphological idea pneumatic furniture. Comprised with interconnected films, the inflatable furniture featuring long and slender body serves as a room divider or as a coffee table in the closed position, and when opened, it reveals its substance. Bent with interlinked cell bundles that can be illuminated on the inside, the Piccells allows users to adjust the linking pattern between the individual cells with their hands. Moreover, the cells replicate different biological and natural structures and textures, giving an entirely different look to the décor of your living space.
