Launched in the Zona Tortona district of Milan last week, the “Once Upon a Dream” by French designer Mathieu Lehanneur is a therapeutic bed that helps in curing insomnia. Enclosing the user in curtains that closes automatically to drop the temperature and lighting gradually, the bed blocks out external sounds with various levels of gentle white noise to ensure a sound sleep. Based on the work of Doctor Alain Nicolas who’s a specialist of sleep in Lyon, France, the Once Upon a Dream moves the user in a dream world and lulls to sleep. The dream bed will be placed in Reims at the Hôtel du Marc after a world tour trip.
