Mumbai to house the world’s tallest residential scraper

Surpassing the 323-meter tall residential complex in Australia, the “Q1,” the “World One” by Mumbai-based real estate company Lodha Developers is gonna be the tallest residential skyscraper in the world. Standing tall at over 450 meters, the new residential tower spreading in a 17-acre area will also include two more towers and accommodate 300 exclusive 3-4 bedroom flats and lavish villas with private swimming pools, together with a number of duplex suites.

Developed in collaboration with New York-based Pei Cobb Free & Partners and Leslie E Robertson Associates, the apartments in the 117-story complex will cost from $1.5 to $12 million each. In addition, the world’s tallest residential scraper is designed to harness natural resources to fulfill its energy and water needs, as it will incorporate water harvesting and recycling system, VRV air-conditioning system and solar panels. The World One is set to be completed by 2014.
