Inspired by his own collection of books, Dutch designer Roderick Vos has come up with an innovative lamp that scatters two books lying on an upright position to accommodate a small bulb. Taking its name, i.e. Mr. Ed, from the inventor of the incandescent light bulb, Thomas Edison, the lamp that shines down can be used both as a reading light and a shelf light, while becoming a bookend. Made in cast black aluminum, the hefty book lamp can well keep even the biggest books tidy in an upright position.
