Bicycles offer a way to move around in the world without sacrificing the beauty and safety of our neighborhoods or the quality of our air.

With a tag line like that, no one would dare question the ‘green’ credentials of a business. And yet despite all the environment friendliness that a bike has going in its favor, some practical considerations remain. The greatest of course is the weight that a bike would carry along. This is precisely where Small Haul enters. This is a hand-made bike frame that is essentially designed to enable a bike to carry along loads of cargo. Fittend right under the handlebar is a detailed basket that can carry around weights of up to 80lbs (36kg). This frame and basket has been made by Joshua Muir in his workshop in Santa Cruz, California. The characteristic Frances Cable Steering System is employed to make sure that turning is agile. The above picture shows Joshua lugging a lab along merrily, I’m sure one can as easily fit in something else too.
