Designed to guide the visitors around different exhibitions around the Millstaetter Lake in Austria, the “Lightsails” from Söhne & Partner Architekten are guiding symbols which that other than lighting the way for the visitors also generates energy from the lake to power themselves. Developed in collaboration with Karl Sodek, the Lightsails are essentially abstract sails the simultaneously works as a transmitter as well as receiver. Responding to the surroundings, the lights create a mesmerizing environment to enhance the experience of the visitors.
