Kuwait Al Sharq district master plan by Office dA

kuwait 1

The primary goal behind the Al Sharq district master plan by the Boston-based architecture firm Office dA is to blend comfort and extraordinary retail experience into a property that is inimitably different. Developed as a multi-purpose neighborhood enclosing civic, retail, commercial and residential programs, the Al Sharq district is conceptualized as a self-sufficient district and as a point of discussion for others in Kuwait’s central city area. Two models have been chosen for housing – matte building and tower. The matte building, with the courtyard conditions, offer great value to each household, including open space, spectacular views and privacy. On the other hand, the tower paradigm defines the silhouette of the district. The Al Shuhada park is connected to the city on the east-west axis with a retail spine. This location will house a range of amenities to fulfill the daily needs of the people. The Al Sharq district master plan hopes to offer a comfy and plush lifestyle to its residents.
