Named ‘K2 Charger,’ the 2-in-1 handheld recharger is a compact hybrid wind-and-solar power generator, about the size of a flashlight, which recharges your portable gadgets, including iPod, cell phone and PDA, using solar and wind power. Integrated with a built-in USB port, the hybrid charger also features a screwcap at the bottom to cover all the additional adaptors required for charging.

The Kinesis K2 Charger is a ready product launched at the CES 2009 in Las Vegas that will be available for around $100.
Usability:
The K2 Charger presents optimum battery capacity in comparison to its competitors, when fully juiced up the 2-in-1 energy generator charges a mobile phone over 5 times and charges an iPod/mp3 player over 10 times. Just place it in the sun and the wind for an hour, the K2 in return offers about 30 minutes of talk time and over 300 minutes of mp3 music. Moreover, the users may either stand up or rest the K2 on its side for maximum sun exposure. You can also hang it from your car or bike for wind recharging, thanks to its foot clip.
