iF Mode folding bike fits in a suitcase

if mode folding bike
Designed and produced by Mark Sanders, the “iF Mode” is a regular-size bike that folds into a compact size (102 H x 27 W x 66 cm L) without removing any parts, thanks to its automatic folding mechanism. Featuring a single-sided fork and rear stay, folding handlebars, integrated stem, front fork and folding pedals, the folding bike shuns greasy chains, a complex tube and the muddle of a traditional bicycle. The iF Mode comes with mechanical disc brake w/160mm rotors on each end, which provides enough stopping power to halt its 26″ wheels. Weighting 14.7kg, the bike is compact, as it easily fits in a suitcase after removing the wheels. Everything about the iF Mode seems perfect, apart from its whopping $2,579 price tag, higher than the cost of new Nano car from Tata Motors. Check out the video after the jump.
