You are looking at an iBook/iPad combination. The smart thing done here is that an old-generation iBook has been turned into a smart case for an iPad. This innovative case has been created by Gary Katz and his son. They removed all the inside components of an iBook, lined the innards with a soft material, including fabric and foam, and converted it into a smart and interesting iPad case. They have also retained the original keypad of the iBook, but it is no more functional.
There are minute details added in the case to make it look unique. A leather strap and a magnet are placed to keep the iPad intact. In order to add a different touch to the case, they have beautifully removed the apple logo of the iBook and made it transparent so that when the iPad is switched on it can actually give the appearance of an LCD screen in the shape of an apple.
So, I feel it will be so much fun to change an old iBook into a modern iPad case. The iPad cases available recently in the market are very different. They are usually made up of leather. Even these cases are strong, sturdy and spacious. But having an iBook converted into a case is just a different matter altogether. Its creativeness adds a different flavor to the whole experience.
