The brainchild of designer Duncan Schotton this funky new concept combines a mechanical clock and digital display. The curious combo is christened the “Digimech clock”, and features normal display figures that tell the time via vertical sliders operated by electric motors and counter-weight. The numbers are printed on vertical sliders and only reveal themselves when shifted into perfect alignment with the ‘display box’. Though one might find it an impossibly painful way to tell time, it sure is entertaining for people who love to see the minutes ticking by.
