In the age of electric kettles employing cold steel, a concept that employs ceramic is a breath of fresh air. And this is exactly what Gareth Battensby’s Hot Streak Kettle is all about. Traditional in its outlook and modern in its design, the Hot Streak Kettle is a wonderfully designed kitchenware. This concept kettle is a part of Gareth’s university project seeking to use ceramic in innovative manner. Dazzling in design and vibrant in color, the Hot Streak Kettle developed over a seven-week period. We are especially fond of the innovative use of ceramic in the kettle’s making. Gareth has designed this in the form of a honeycomb structure that improves surface area of the heating element. Ultimately this translates into a more even and quicker spread of heat. Another design element is the incorporation of a system of three movable elements that the users can adjust as per the amount of water that’s being boiled. This would save the energy that bit more. Hot Streak Kettle is an efficient concept; not only does it look remarkable, but it backs the looks with substance. Kudos to the designer! Another picture of the Hot Streak Kettle follows.
