Plants may give a refreshing look to your living space, but they require proper care and attention on part of the occupants. However, the “Click & Grow” is a growing system with difference that eliminating the need of soil and fertilizer grows the plants in an air or mist environment, thanks to the “aeroponics.” The new planter integrates sensors, a processor and special software for watering and fertilizing the plants in the pot. All the user need to do is “place a plant cartridge containing some seeds into the pot, fill the water tank and upload the proper growth program to the pot” and leave the rest on the Click & Grow system.
Available in basic and enhanced models, former with notification lights indicates the grower about refilling of the water tank while the latter collects water from the air on its own; the planter also includes a cartridge with basic fertilizer and information about the seed type. You can download the appropriate growth program for the plant, by connecting the pot to a PC via a USB cable, as soon as you place or plant the cartridge in the pot. The Click & Grow system will start selling with the base price at around €17, excluding seed cartridges available on the Internet between €2.5 and €4 euro, this year.
