Commissioned by Armitage Shanks, British designer Jon Walmsley has come up with a mirror concept that apart from reflecting the image also monitors the health of the user on a day-to-day basis. Embedding an encyclopedic medical database, using facial recognition technology, within an interactive mirror, the “Health Monitoring Mirror” assesses the personal health of homeowners and prioritizes the diseases that require urgent medical attention with immediate effect. While on the other hand, the minor illnesses, which require a change in routine or diet, are diagnosed and cured time to time. Featuring the touchscreen technology, the magic mirror allows an enhanced communicative experience, while interacting with their health and fitness.
