I admit I’m a treehugger. And I also admit that I’m the loon who keeps writing to the city council to plant more trees and increase the green cover all the time. But since they seem so hell bent on going the concrete route, I thought I’d fish the net for some funky ideas to keep the green cover alive the city. I especially loved this wonderful grass-topped mailbox idea put forward by the very talented designer Adriean Koleric.
The design takes your average boxy mailbox and replaces it with a sleeker, slimmer mailbox with its top dedicated exclusively for growing decorative grasses. Of course having the space filled with flowers of even a decent decorative plant would have been better, but hey, with the public works departments cementing every patch of spare green they can find, the grassy mailbox might soon be the only place we get to see any grass!
