Imaginatively stimulating, the fiber optic chandelier has been designed as an organic creation that grows and transforms with time like a familial unit. Dubbed as Bacterioptica, the chandelier has a branching family of hundreds of metal rods, coupling caps, canisters, glass petri-dishes and 15,000 feet of fiber optic cable.
These can be reconfigured by interchanging different sized petri dishes, adjusting lighting intensity, and altering stem and arm lengths in infinite ways to symbolize the change that envelopes the family as it evolves. Designed by MADLAB the chandelier adorns the living room of a New Jersey home.
