Designblog has a big heart for people who design with heart. It is understood that you need the brains to get the lines going but unless you are attached to what you design the brilliance will never show. We today pick a desktop design from Industrial Designer Paulina Carlos for we believe that her work reflects the brilliance that catches the eye. Dubbed the Froot, her desktop design is a bio friendly computer that uses high-end projecting and laser technology for its use and sustainability. There is no screen or keyboard as they are merely projected onto surfaces. Froot gets its nomenclature inspiration from fruits for the simple reason that Froot has biodegradable skin composed of starch based polymers very much like fruits.

The intention to bring such a computer out is to make it a closed loop product. Its electrical components could be returned to the manufacturer for re-use and recycle. Also, it would help in promoting social interaction as the project screen can be used as a media center for family or business. Froot even managed to get an entry into the DELL Regeneration Green Computing Technology Contest. With the world altering for the pits courtesy, global warming, such green solutions could go a long way in fighting the demon.
