In an attempt to enhance a shopping cart’s functionality, Evan Gurgui has created the UpCart, which looks more like a designer shelving system. Offering a smart and trendy solution to modern customers, the UpCart has the larger bins on the bottom for heavier items, while the smaller ones are located toward the top for lighter items. Customers can swivel the bins to suit their liking. They can push them away or bring them closer with help of this swiveling feature. Moreover, you don’t have to unload and reload the groceries for scanning, since the bins are lined with a bag prior to shopping. The unique design of the feet of the UpCart allows the carts to nest, thereby decreasing the footprint for storage. I am pretty impressed with the functionality the UpCart offers, but the one thing I doubt is the ease with which this shopping cart can be moved around inside the mall.
