Trotl Bike 001 replaces chain with a belt for steady propulsion

By Naresh KumarChauhan   /Dec 3 2009

The “Trotl Bike 001” by Swiss designer Matthias Pugin is a fixed-gear racing bike that allows better gear shifting and grip on the track even at high speeds. Featuring a frame finished in carbon fiber, including the saddle (to reduce trembling), the bicycle remains intact and runs efficiently on the racing track. The seat is covered with cushioning and leather, allowing a comfortable ride during long-distance events. What makes the bike interesting is that it replaces the conventional chain with a belt for smooth and steady propulsion.
