Tract: Take on the extreme terrain

By Naresh KumarChauhan   /May 11 2009

Brandon Boycher wanted to design something for “extreme” outdoor athletes. To say that he’s done precisely this with the Tract would be quite an understatement. This concept for an all-terrain vehicle promises to unleash a whole new genre of outdoor activities. The Tract is basically a single mounting board, much like a skateboard. It is, however, a lot meaner. Also, one could add another board on the side, mount both, and use them as a skiing unit. The Tract tackles rough terrain using a combination of four shockers, as also a carefully designed steering system. The braking system is placed in the hands of the rider with a pressure activated handle. This, I’m sure, is bound to make it a little safer than a normal skateboard. More images follow after jump; check them out. And while you do so, just imagine riding the Tract downhill. Sweet!
