Prosthetic Arm with functional design lets amputees pinch again

By Naresh KumarChauhan   /Dec 20 2010

Artificial limbs have made a drastic change in the life of amputees, for they not only help the users perform their day-to-day tasks easily, without relying on others, but also look like natural body parts. Created by designer Stephen Stum, the “Prosthetic Arm” is an innovative limb that featuring simple yet practical design simplifies the function of hand for the user. Including a neoprene support to shift extra weight from the stump, the new artificial arm also integrates a pinching terminal device that the user can activate with a slider on the wrist to increase or decrease the pinching force of the device.
