Markus Michalski’s Pillo “live-in” lamp

By Asmita Prasad   /Jul 19 2008

Promoting a modern way of living, the Pillo Lamp is an object that is designed for the interior as a private and secret retreat. Incorporating elements of furniture as well as light fixtures, the lamp can also be seen as micro architecture since it also encourages personal spontaneity and flexibility. The lamp is primarily characterized by nomad culture and since it transfers it to modern design, it can be used comfortably at home, in the office or even on the road.

Constructed out of Carbon fiber rods with a covering of elastic textile fabric that guarantees the static stability, the lamp uses proven connections like zippers and tube connectors for electricity giving users enough space to relax in. The transformable lamp can also be folded down into a size not bigger than a carpet bag and can be stored away comfortably too!
