Marion Hyper-Sub is the world’s first submersible powerboat

By Naresh KumarChauhan   /Apr 12 2010

Amalgamating submersible components with the lifting and payload capacity of a heavy-duty, surface-cruising boat, the Marion Hyper-Submersible Powerboat Design has popped up a powerboat that becomes a submarine to take you under waters for sea exploration. Dubbed the “Hyper-Sub,” the submersible powerboat generates power from an 880hp engine to reach the top speed of 75kph on top of the water. Capable of submersing 250 feet under the water, the Hyper-Sub is the first small craft built with the horsepower, sea keeping and range to allow operation on the high seas that turns into a self-charging, autonomous, one-atmosphere submarine as well. Check out the video after the jump.
