Dime kitchen workstation becomes a decorative art for trendy apartments

Inspired by the illuminated edge of a spinning coin, the UK-based designers Miles Hartwell and Matt Withington have designed a kitchen workstation for SplinterWorks that can also be used as a coffee/tea station in a dining or conference room, breakfast cabinet in a hotel or even a telephone/admin desk in your entrance hall. Dubbed the “Dime,” the multifunctional furniture features 10 blades finished in rosewood, which shuffle right back to unveil a stone surface to place your trendy appliances and accessories. When not in use or closed, the cabinet looks like a sculpture or piece of art, decorating contemporary apartments.
