Carre modular kitchen lets you to customize your culinary space

Catering to the individual cooking needs of a variety of users through a standard kitchen unit often becomes a big challenge for the designers. Addressing the issue, German designers Robert Schierjott and Ulrich Kohl have come up with an innovative kitchen named “Carre” that lets us to customize our culinary space according to our cooking needs, which keeps altering day by day. Comprising two modules that alter from a compact cube into a spacious cooking area, the modular kitchen fulfills almost all the cooking needs and that too within the least available space.

Integrating a gas port, kitchen sink and a counter for cooking preparation in the main fixed body module, the portable kitchen also includes a secondary unit that moves freely around the fixed unit to create six different configurations. The kitchen features a countertop finished in maple and storage boxes in translucent polypropylene film, while the washbasin and the working area with stove are made in “beton,” concrete left unfinished or roughly finished after pouring.
