20ft Figure: sees no chisel, no hammer!

What a feat! Did u know that just recently, an artist, Duncan Elliot scouted around the world for a good three years to pick up stones of all shapes and sizes so as to form a human figure. An incredible size of rocks weighing 90kg were also picked up from across Europe. Now, the bigger feat is this: In building this human sculpture, Elliot did not touch a hammer or a chisel! All the stones he picked were of shapes and sizes that precisely represented the human body parts. Without using tools to assist in the construction, Elliot took six-day weeks and 17-hour days to complete his figure over three years. This is truly remarkable, given that all Elliot depended on were his hands. This cost Elliott around £30,000 which included labor and materials cost.

To build this 20ft figure, Elliot required 300 rocks, the biggest one weighing 90kg formed the belly. The smallest, amazingly were less than a gram each and these were used to form the sculpture's fingernails. Imagine how precise this 20ft, larger than life, human-like sculpture is. Elliott is from Bristol and studied art, quite naturally. It is worth mentioning that the sculpture he put together without a chisel or a hammer was done at his own studio on the Mendip Hills in Somerset. I must say after looking at a picture of the final product that this is a masterpiece to the world of art.
