Developing a bond between the needs of the user and the form of the furniture, designer Sophie Kirkpatrik has come up with a modular workstation named the “Duplex,” meaning two-fold, which alters its shape according to the varied workspace requirements of the user. Featuring an adjustable hood, the flexible desk creates an adaptable space for working, thinking or designing in any given environment. For the hood mounts to provide privacy, while on the other hand, it lowers to allow interaction with the surroundings.
