Lighting and furniture are possibly the two most important aspects of contemporary home decor. Combining the two different objects into one single unit, designer Michael Sillitoe has developed an innovative table that embeds a light underneath its surface, which pops up to illuminate your place. Hailed as “Draw Luminaire,” the multifunctional unit makes use of both the spaces, above and underneath the table surface, to allow interaction with an imaginary field lying in-between. All you need to do is pull or draw the light out with your hand to illuminate the surroundings, and when not required, you may simply push it beneath the surface of the table.
