New designer ATM prevents robberies by a self collapsible technique

ATM for semi-literate and illiterate populations

If you think you have seen it all, it is time for a rain check. Coming your way is the new design of an ATM machine which promises to not only dispense money in a trendy way, but also prove to be an asset for the semi- literate and illiterate people. Revamping the look and modernizing the utility of the money dispenser, Cash register manufacturer NRC Corp. has come up with a new version for the illiterate people.

How it works is very simple… the user would need to place his thumb on the biometric sensor, push the appropriate button and withdraw the cash. Make sure you don’t forget your transaction receipt once the cash has been dispensed. As mentioned before, the new contraption is just like any other ATM machine. Made in an upright standing position, the new version of the ATM comes with a collapsible unit, useful in case anyone tries to pry it open with a crowbar.

This version of the ATM would be most useful in rural areas, where the people are not exactly aware of the ways of withdrawing money. The introduction of such ATM’s would enable people to withdraw money as per their convenience, instead of having to go to loan sharks and end up paying exorbitant interest rates.

Thanks to the structure of the ATM pillars, there is a very low maintenance cost attached with them. Also, it’s for everyone to see if these contraptions would prove to be a success in the rural areas. The pillar design has been heavily inspired from the letter boxes which are prevalent in developing countries. It would not be long before they make their way to the urban areas as well. It’s for everyone to wait and watch.
