Bizarreness and symbolism are unabated in this sofa by Lila Jang. Tagged Canape, this one adorns the floor as well as walls. Now I ain’t too educated in sitting etiquettes but Dracula would be perfectly at home on this one (You get the lizard thing right?). Canape is a sofa – more of a sculpture – that takes a funny turn. It was displayed by Lila at PARCOURS, Saint Germain des Prés” in Paris under the title “Once upon a time…” the corner piece looks like something that would be on floor at night and found on the wall next morning. Eye-catching and unique, Canape makes a statement about perspectives. The brilliant turn that this one takes has resulted into an arch making this foamed beauty perfect to lean upon.
