Bridging the gap between floor lamp and pendant lamp, Lantern

Bridging the gap between a floor lamp and a pendant lamp, London-based designer Mathias Hahn has come up with a simple but at the same time unique lamp that clamps to its own flex, moving across its shade to form a pool on the floor, to illuminate your room. Entitled “Lantern,” the flexible lamp feeds the cable through the center of the lamp, so it could be clamped anywhere, between floor and ceiling, to meet the lighting need of different users. Designed for Ligne Roset, the Lantern employing the geometry of the production processes gives a new look and flexibility to the traditional materials.
