Amphibious boat that looks awesome and glides real fast
This custom made hovercraft is absolutely thrilling and looks nothing like dull and unsightly amphibious dinghies churned out usually. Created by Vaudrey Miller Yachts from New Zealand and also NZ Tenders, this one looks sporty and sleek. Dobroserdov Design from Monaco crafted its GT Tender. Apart from the driver, this boat can accommodate six people onboard. Facilities available on the craft are; a mini fridge, basin, carbon fiber swim ladder, marine audio entertainment system, deck shower and removable ski pole to make your jaunt worthwhile.
The reason why this 8.5 meter boat looks attractive is that some sporty features have been blended into its design. The stern is slotted with recessed tail lights while the high and low beam headlights on the foredeck help to give it a streamlined look. Also, there wasn’t any need to include the exact features of other amphibious boats in this design as the client did not want to propel it on the main roads.
The need was just a boat that goes up till the shore and also something in which people could ride up to the Saint Tropez, Como lake or even Monaco without needing to get out of water. So, the task at hand was to construct a boat that could manage to pace at 15 degree boat ramps. Also, it should be able to attain a top speed of 35 knots in the sea and 6 mph when it is gliding on the coast.
When the D6 Volvo engine of the boat that is linked to the Volvo DPH duoprop moves at 28 knots, it can acquire a range of 200nm. When ashore, its carbon composite and epoxy resin built is managed by the Kohler DKW 2204T engine. The side windows add to the fun when you are gliding in it. Of course, the whole experience comes at a price of a cool euro 700000.
