Weapons can be cool! Yes, if good intentions shake hand with an artistic mind then its possible to convert these weapons of destruction into sculptures of excellence. The furniture and sculptures that you see here are actually made using recycled military weapons.
As the long-stretched Cambodian civil war ended in 1998, the Cambodian government started with an unusual mission and destroyed nearly 125,000 weapons across the country. In the year 2003, the ‘Peace Art Project Cambodia’ (PAPC) was drafted to give an artistic twist to the mission and get rid of the remaining weapons in a more esteemed manner.
Deadly weapons like the Kalashnikovs and RPDs were given a new lease of life and transformed into exquisite pieces of art.
