Combining living room furniture with a sound system, Belgian designers Jerome Spriet and Wolfgang Bregentzer have come up with an innovative coffee table dubbed the “Acoustable” that not only receives your guests on a tea party but also plays music to entertain them with quality surround sound. Hiding a hi-tech sound system, containing speakers, woofer, remote control and stereo amplifier with USB and iPod connection ports within its frame, the multifunctional furniture can be used as a study table, dining table and conference table, fulfilling almost all the needs of each member of the house.

Made using a concrete polymer, the Acoustable pulls out a number of USB adapters to power your portable gadgets, including laptop, PMP, cellphone, etc, simultaneously. Spreading 120cm in diameter, the utility furniture provides adequate space for all the members of the family for their multifarious tasks. Featuring a unique form created by the tension of a circular elastic sheet, the table neatly hides the sound system in polypropylene foam and the clutter of wires underneath the top surface to maintain a sleek, elegant look.
