The point that many musicians like Elton John and Tori Amos have been trying to make is that the piano is a rocking instrument and the music which is embellished with piano is exquisite. Sarah Davenport of Davenport Designers and Cabinetmakers designed Chichi, a rocking Piano, literally. Sarah has taken great care in order to make a musical instrument that can rock literally. The visually appealing piano not only rocks but also delivers great performance. The piano is encased in a wooden piece of furniture that can rock gently while the pianist plays. It also consists of a seat for the pianist. The Chichi can now be found at the Riverside College at Crompton campus. The grand piano would be used for college musicals and to teach music to students. Sarah was inspired by a furniture show in Milan and in order to add a little bit of soul into the traditional grand pianos, she created the exquisite looking and beautiful ChiChi design.
