Movetto px4 moves like a Segway and allows the user to remain mobile comfortably. Lindgren has taken care of the safety of the user by fitting a seat belt in Movetto px4. Futuristic wheelchair
This mobility aid concept is the brainchild of designer Thomas Ross and Dave Cochrane. The futuristic wheelchair designed by them features a teardrop extrusion, which is at the rear of the wheelchair. They have used Pellicle, Aeron chair fabric of Herman Miller, to make the machine more comfortable and safe. An oleo based suspension is connected to the main drive.
Combed slides to form a wheelchair
Designer Patrick Decker has designed and built “Combed”, a multifunctional unit that has a U-shaped bed frame and can turn into a wheelchair when required. This one-of-a-kind machine features a mattress. The mattress has a layer with air chambers. It also has a 3 cm-thick layer full of gel. The air mattress can be used as a seat for the wheelchair as well.
